Following the presentation, we'll dig into another sausage-and-beer tradition with German Swiss roots—the Treberwurst. Treberwurst is a Swiss vineyard workers' tradition of warming up a snack sausage in pomace, heated by hot steam coming out of the top of a still. Eventually, this clever lunch was adapted by beer brewers like us—and sometimes, we'll take the brew day's hot spent grain, and heat up sausages in it (and if you're around on most Tuesdays in the taproom, we'll share it with you). Trust us, IT'S FUN.
For this little Treberfest, we'll be selling variety of sausages in a bun from some friends TBA, warmed up in Friday's spent grain—which just happens to be the day we're brewing our Festbier. Plus, a special on our smoked beers all night long!
